We have finally arrived at summer vacation... but not before Ryan's final Choir concert- "A Night at the Grammys", where his group, the Men's Chorus, performed a medley of boy-band hits as The Men in White. The choreography was stereotypically boy-band and fabulous. So fab, I HAD to buy the DVD to share at a future get-together.

Mothers Day

From the sublime to the ridiculous! I had a wonderful Mothers Day lunch with family at a great Thai restaurant. Food was amazing, esp. the mimosas! Then in the late afternoon, went on a mother/daughter trail ride in the Superstitions that ended with a cook-out. The ride was fun, although a bit warm, you know, around 102, and our cook-out dinner consisted of hot dogs and chips. I think that was the best the men-folk could pull off. Still fun. Scenery was gorgeous, and Kasey had a blast...

Happy Birthday Kasey!

Today is Kasey's 14th birthday! She woke up to view the love from her friends on this special day. I wonder if they love her enough to show up after school for the clean-up!

My latest project involves finishing my guest room; especially since it looks like we could actually have guests now and then! My fabulous sister-in-law, Maryrose, helped me kick it off by shopping for bedding with me. As soon as the room is finished, I will share the before-and-after pics. It is pretty close... I have a couple of art projects to complete and hang.
